2. THE INTERNAL SECURITY OF THE UNITED STATES
NSC 17/2)
a. Noted and discussed the content of NSC 17/2.
b.
Instructed the Executive Secretary to draft, for
approval by the National Security Council, a
directive to the State-Army-Navy-Air Force Co-
ordinating Committee instructing it to concern
itself with the problems of internal security as
they affect the national security and to prepare
appropriate studies and recommendations relative
thereto and to take final action within the limits
of its authority.
INTERIM TERMS OF REFERENCE OF SANACC
(NSC 25)
Concurred in the Interim Terms of Reference of
SANACC as outlined in NSC 25.
4. OFFICE OF SPECIAL PROJECTS
(NSC 10/2)
a. Approved the nomination, by the Department of
State with the concurrence of the Director of
Central Intelligence, of Mr. Frank G. Wisner as
Director of the Office of Special Projects.
b. Noted the designation of representatives of the
the
Secretary of State, the Secretary of Defense, and
the Joint Chiefs of Staff as provided in NSC 10/2.

memorandum to the NSC from the Secretary of Defense,
transmitting the views of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
