MEMORANDUM FOR THE JOINT CHIEFS OF STAFF
SUBJECT: United States Courses of Action With
Respect to Korea
Reference: NSC 81/1
On 11 September 1950 the President approved
the conclusions of NSC 81/1 and directed their im-
plementation by all appropriate executive departments
and agencies of the U. S. Government. Accordingly, I am
hereby authorizing the Joint Chiefs of Staff to issue
the necessary instructions and take the appropriate
action as called for by the conclusions of this report.
