MEMORANDUM FOR THE PRESIDENT
Subject: Visit of Iragi Regent
During his visit at the White House the Regent
of Iraq and Nuri Pasha, his political adviser, will
wish to have a talk with you about the United States,
Iraq, and American-Iraq: relations. Conversations
of this kind in the past have taken place, as a rule,
in the evening after official dinners at the White
House.
As of possible aid to you in preparing for these
conversations, I am attaching a number of confidential
memoranda prepared in the Department.
I am also attaching a copy of a descriptive
pamphlet of Iraq which is being distributed by the
Iraqi Legation, an examination of which may be helpful
to you.
