I am sending you herewith, for
transmittal through appropriate diplomatic
channels, the attached letter which the

President has address to His Excellency
Liaquat Ali Khan.
A copy of the President's letter
is attached for the files of the Department.

Liaquat Ali Khan, Prime Minister of Pakistan, Karachi,
Pakistan, re making available the services of Admiral
Nimitz for Kashmir.
(I phoned the office of the Chief of Protocol to inform
them that the President's letter had been cleared per-
sonally with the Secretary of State, and to suggest to
them that they may wish to get in touch with the Secre-
tary's office regarding the transmittal of the letter.)
