We are making arrangements now to get possibly One Hundred Thousand of these people into South America - principally into Brazil. I certainly would like to take the Immigration Committeemen of the Senate and the House on a tour of these camps and let them listen to the stories of the situation as it actually is. I think possibly their viewpoint would change. I am not interested in the politics of the situation, or what affect it will have on votes in the United States - I am interested in relieving a half million people of the most distressful situation that has happened in the world since AHila made his invasion of Europe. Your Ancestors and mine, if I remember correctly, came to this country to escape just such conditions. There is no place for people to go now unless we can arrange it. I appreciate very much your letter and your interest in these things and I am glad to write you very frank on the subject.
