THE WHITE HOUSE WASHINGTON December 1, 1947. Dear Dr. Weizmann: I read your letter of November twenty-seventh with a great deal of interest and, as the facts developed, your fears were unfounded. I don't think I ever had as much pressure and propaganda unnecessarily aimed at The White House as I have had in this instance and it didn't please me a great deal but showed that evidently the people for whom we had done the most had no confidence in the integrity of The White House.
