April 30, 1945 My dear Congressman Lesinski: I appreciate very much your letter of the nineteenth and the attached documents. I have not had a chance to give them all the study they deserve but I do appreciate your point of view. As the Secretary of State just told you I am trying to carry out the policies of my predecessor and the former great Secretary of State, Cordell Hull, to the best of my ability.
