1. Weather:
Over Korea, scattered to occasionally broken low clouds from 2,000 to
6,000 feet, visibility 10 miles except 6 miles in haze at dawn. Over Kyushu,
coastal areas, broken to overcast at 1,000 feet becoming broken at 2,500 feet
after 0800/20 (KT). Surface winds Kyushu 20 to 25 knots, gustiness to 35 knots.
Forecast: Kyushu, south, and east Korea, multi-layered clouds from 1,000
feet to 35,000 feet. Winds south and east Korea 30 to 50 knots, Kyushu 25 to
45 knots. West and northwest Korea scattered to broken clouds at 2,000 feet,
visibility lowering to 8 miles. (FEAF) (SECRET)

Negative.
3. Operations:
a. As of the afternoon of 19 July enemy points of contact from west to
east are reported as follows: Changhang - Yusong - Munui, the vicinity of
Namil-Myon - Yonggong - Puhung - Sanggong - the area west of Ochon -
the vicinity of Hogye-Myon - Taejo - Punggi and Chunyang I Kumhak - the
vicinity of Yongdok. (FECOM) (SECRET)
b. The enemy continues to drive on Taejon in a coordinated attack pre-
sumably with the 4th NK Division. One regiment, supported by artillery and
heavy weapons, was attacking in the Iri - Nonsan area. Additional enemy con-
centrations have been observed at Kanggyong, Yusong, Kongju and Taepyong.
Enemy artillery and armor have crossed a repaired bridge over the Kum River
at Taepyong. Taejon is still, however, in friendly hands. (FECOM)(SECRET)
C. There was no activity by the 2d and 3d North Korean Divisions on the
front of the First ROK Corps. The 3d North Korean Division may have been
withdrawn from this sector to assist the 4th North Korean Division in its drive
on Taejon. (FECOM) (SECRET)
d. The enemy 5th and 15th Divisions maintained steady pressure in the
Mungyang-Hamchang-Sangju and the Yongju-Andong corridors. Th 5th Division
