The 3d Battalion of the 29th Infantry, in the vicinity of Hadong, withdrew after heavy casualties to the vicinity of Chinju. The 34th RCT arrived in the vicinity of Kochang. (FECOM) (SECRET) 1. The 25th Division under heavy attack has readjusted its lines as follows: The 27th RCT along a line 2 miles south of Hwanggan; the 24th RCT along a line northeast-southwest of Hwaryongjang; the 35th RCT along a line 3 miles west of Sangju, (FECOM)(SECRET) SOUTH KOREAN ARMY 1. The 3d ROK Division is engaged one mile south of Yongdok. The Capitol Division continued its defense north of Yechon. The 8th ROK Division withdrew to new defensive positions along the river line about 3 miles east of Ongchon® The 1st ROK Division counterattacked and is now in position in the vicinity of Hogye-Myon.
