Night photographic reconnaissance disclosed considerable activity on the highway from Suwon to Yoju. Great activity was noted at Kyomipo. There is considerable traffic on highways in the Seoul-Kaesong- Chunchon area. (FECOM) (SECRET) U.S. ARMY n. The 1st Cavalry Division reported guerrilla activity in the vicinity of Kumchon. Extensive patrolling to the southwest was conducted by the 5th Cavalry Regiment. The 7th Cavalry Regiment, southeast of Hwanggan, and the 8th Cavalry Regiment east of Hwanggan established po- sitions on lines from 1 mile east of Kwan to vicinity of 3 miles west of Kum- chon to Hawon with the 8th Cavalry Regiment on the north. The 3d Battalion (minus) of the 21st Infantry Regiment, now attached to the 1st Cavalry Div- ision is in the vicinity of Hawon.
