Secretary HAROLD ICKES to CORCORAN at latter's home. They made
arrangements to lunch today at 12:30 P.M. at ICKES invitation.
He said he wanted very much to see CORCORAN today. O.K.
9:26am
ELSIE YOUNGMAN to PEGGY CORCORAN. Latter and TOM cannot come
next week-end because DAVE (TOM's brother) will be here for the
week-end. They all plan to go to Warrenton. ELSIE is to see
BILL soon. The CORCORANS will try to come to ELSIE'S on the 14th.
O.K. PEGGY will meet ELSIE and LOUISE WILLAUER (wife of WHITING
WILLAUER, Assistant in Foreign Economic Administration ?) and all
will go to hear TRUMAN present the charter to Congress. LaFOLLETTE
got tickets for VIRGIL CLARK (Wife of WORTH CLARK ?) and the latter
invited PEGGY. They will meet in the Senators' lunch room. O.K.

BILL YAGER or YEAGER (Phon.) asks MAC WRIGHT (Attorney formerly
with R.F.C.) if in. ANS: No. BILL said he talked with CORCORAN
from NYC and told him he was coming in. He will stop at CORCORAN'S
office to see him in one-half hour.
9:50am
PEGGY CORCORAN to VIRGIL CLARK to discuss the arrangements re the
tickets to hear President TRUMAN speak. They consider calling
upon MILDRED PEPPER in an endeavor to secure additional tickets.
They resolve to have TOM CORCORAN obtain extra tickets.
9:50am
Mr. JAMES PENFIELD (U. S. Consul?) to BILL YOUNGMAN. They will
have lunch tomorrow. JIM will come to office #1020 in the Invest-
ment Building, YOUNGMAN'S office, at 12:30 P.M. tomorrow.
10:07am CORCORAN to WORTH CLARK saying that DAVE (CORCORAN) will be here
Wednesday and asking that CLARK arrange for the two men to secure
permission to play golf someplace. It will be okay for Wednesday
at Burning Tree. O.K.
10:10am JOHN CARTER to CORCORAN asking that the latter have lunch with
him. TOM is busy this noon he said. CARTER (Phon.) will come
to CORCORAN'S office at 2:30 P.M. today.
10:15am SENATOR LISTER HILL to CORCORAN asking if the latter can be in
the former's office at 3:00 P.M. today to meet with the Senator
and General PERSONS (MAJOR GENERAL WILTON B. PERSONS, War Depart-
ment Special Staff, Chief of Legislative and Liaison Division ?).
O.K. said CORCORAN who asked that the Senator make arrangements
for PEGGY to pick up a ticket for the President's talk.
10:22am Mrs. CHARLOTTE CLARK (Mrs. SAMUEL CLARK) invited Mrs. CORCORAN
to lunch with her today but the latter is busy. She has accepted
and invitation to hear President TRUMAN speak to Congress.
