j. Surface units bombarded numerous other targets along both
coasts with unobserved results. (COMNAVFE) (SECRET)
AIR:
k. On 13 March, UN aircraft under FEAF control (less USMC)
flew 537 sorties. Two hundred and sixty combat sorties were flown of
which 2 were by RAAF, 16 by SAAF, and 16 by ROKAF aircraft. All
tactical UN aircraft under FEAF control flew 62 close support, 208
armed reconnaissance, 40 counter air and 57 night intruder sorties.
The 315th Air Division flew 169 sorties, air-lifting 2, 407 passengers,
169 evacuees, and 219 tons of freight. (FEAF) (SECRET)
1. On 13 March, Bomber Command flew 14 sorties; 10 shoran
bombed the traffic choke point 12 miles south of Sukchon; 2 bombed
Samdong-ni marshalling yard; 1 flew close support; 1 dropped leaflets.
