CONSULTATION REPORT
X-RAY NO. # 997
EXAMINATION OF THE GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT:
ESOPHAGUS: Normal in position and outline. There was no evidence
of a hiatus hernia.
STOMACH:
In the distal end of the stomach there was a smoothly
outlined polypoid lesion which apparently is on the
long pedicle and was observed to prolaspe into the
duodeum. Otherwise the stomach appeared normal.
DUODEUM:
The cap was smooth in outline and there was a
moderately large diverticulum in the second portion.
Note, the present roentgenograms were compared with those
previously made at the Research Hospital. The findings are practically
the same inbboth examinations. There has been no increase in growth
of the lesion.
DIAGNOSIS:
BENIGN POLYPOID LESION OF THE ANTRUM OF THE STOMACH.
