Rockofeller, accepting his resignation as Assistant Secretary of Stato: "August 25, 1945 "Doar Nelson: " In koeping with your request, I cm accopting as of this date your rosignation as Assistant Secrotary of State. "As Coordinator of the Office of Inter Amorican Affairs you made a significant contribution to strongthoring the friendly cooperation among the American Republics in the war against Fascism. 'Puring your sorvice as Assistant Socretary of State for Amorican Republic.Affairs you continuod to work for closer and more amicalbe rôlations with the Latin Amorican Republics. This work of yours, undortaken and carried on as a var servico, will not bo forgotton. "Sinceroly yours, FRUMAR NARA "HARRY S. TRUMAN" Following is the toxt of M.r.
