Re 1659, "Authorizing the Department of Highways of the State of Minnesota to construct, maintain, and operate a bridge across the Pigeon River." The title of the bill indicates its general purpose. It would authorize the constructi on of the bridge in question in accordance with the Act of March 23, 1906, with respect to the construction of bridges over navigable waters. Constructi on of the bridge would al so be subject to the approval of the proper authorities in the Dominion of Canada. The bill does not contain any objectionable provisions wi th re- spect to the indefinite continuance of toll charges or any tax exemption provisions. A facsimile of the enrolled enactment has been referred to the Federal Works Agency and the War Department, and their replies, inter- posing no ob jection to the approval of the bill, are attached.
