Dear Mrs. Truman:
Many thanks for your check for
the food which you bought from the supply
we had in the White House. I very much
appreciate your doing this.
I hope you are comfortably settled
by now and that all is going well. I am
still trying to sort out and divide pos-
sessions for my children and with two of
them in the Pacific, it is a little dif-
ficult to decide what they may want. A
house that has been lived in as long a.s
the house here, certainly gathers and
keeps a great many things which now are
difficult to dispose of.
