THE JONES LIBRARY
INCORPORATED
AMHERST, MASSACHUSETTS
CHARLES R. GREEN
LIBRARIAN
May 20, 1949
Mrs. Harry S. Truman
Blair House
Washington, D. C.
Dear Mrs. Truman:
I write to ask if it will be possible
for you to give this Library an autographed copy
of your photograph for a special collection which
we have here.
The Jones Library was opened in 1921
so we started with photographs of President and
Mrs. Coolidge. Later on we received autographed
photographs from President and Mrs. Hoover, and
then later on autographed photographs from Presi-
dent and Mrs. Roosevelt.
President Truman sent us an autographed
photograph in 1945, so I wish to ask if you will
help us make our set complete to date. I will
appreciate your kind consideration of our request.
Sincerely,
Charles Rhreeve
LIBRARIAN
