MRS. helm
WASHINGTON, D. C.
May 22, 1947.
My dear Mrs. Helm:
We appreciate your letter of May 10,
although it is a disappointment. We
understand that occasions like this cannot
be arranged on short notice. We are grateful
for your every kindness in our behalf and
trust that both Mrs. Truman and yourself
will have a pleasant summer.
We trust, also, that the President's
mother will soon be recovered to a point
of satisfaction to the entire Truman
family.
BARRY TROMAN AND LIBERTY
Sincerely yours,
is
