S. CAPITOL WASHINGTON, D. c. March 13, 1947. AND My dear Mrs. Truman: S. Our 1947 Capitol Page School "Congressional" is in process of preparation and we would like to receive your permission to again designate you as the Pages' godmother and to have you send, if you will, please, a short message to use with your photo- graph. A personal message to the Pages, or a bit of timely advice from you would be more appropriate than anything the boys themselves might write. We would also welcome any suggestion you might care to make which would help us to improve the = Congressional". We think the photograph, which you so gra- ciously sent us for use in the 1946 "Congressional", is an excellent one but, if you should desire a change, we would be glad to receive a new one. (Your photograph appeared in the 1946 "Congressional" on Page 33.) Assuring you that the friendly courtesies ex- tended to the Pages by the President and yourself are very much appreciated by them, as well as by us, we are Very sincerely, Great In Rendace Principal. Mrs. Bess Truman, The White House, Washington, D. C.
