My dear Mrs. Robbins:
Mrs. Truman does not know when
she will return in the autumn and it is
extremely doubtful that she will be here
on October twelfth or thirteenth. She
hopes you will say to the members of the
District of Columbia Chanter of the P.E.O.
Sisterhood with how much regret she has
to forego the pleasure of meeting the dele-
gates at the time of their visit to the
city.
She has asked me to express her
warm thanks to the District of Columbia
P.E.O. for this much appreciated invita-
U.S. LITTED
tion which she is very sorry that she can
not accept.
Very sincerely yours,
Mrs. J. M. Helm
Secretary to Mrs. Truman
Mrs. J. W. Robbins
