    "ocrText": "REPORT ON OFFICER'S DUTIRC I': EPOARDS TO OSWALD'S MURDER\nL. C. GRAVLS - #702\nSunday, Novembor 2h, 1963, was the day ret for the transfer of Loe\nParvey Oswald tc the County Jnil. The timo set for the transfer was 10:00\nAM. Fhortly before 9:30 ANF, J. P. Leavelle, C. N. Dhority, and I brought\nOswald down from the fffth floor jail for final questioning by Capt. Fritz,\nAgents Forrel and Kelly from the Secret Servico. others rresent during the\nquestioning vere Mr. Folres from the II. S. Post rffice Department, Detec-\ntives L. T. Vontgomery, C.. M. Phority, J. R. Leavelle, and I. Chief Curry\nwas present only a few minutes at the berinning of the questioning and ot\nthe end just prior to Oswald's removal to the basemont. Before leaving our\noffice with Osvald, Capt. Fritz instructed J. R. Leavelle to handcuff his\nleft arm to the right arm of Oswald. I was to walk by Omald's left sido,\nholding his left arm. Oswald's hands were handcuffod together in front of\nhim. Det. Leavelle, Oswald, and I were escortod from this office via the\njail elevator to the jail office by Capt. Fritz, Lt. Swain, and Det. L. D.\nMontgomory. At the jail office door that leads into the hall, we storped\nfor a few seconds until Capt. Fritz and Lt. Swain made sure the hall-way was\nclnar. We got the all clear sign and made our way through the hall to the\nedge of the your where we had paused momontarily awaiting the arrival of\nour car, when guddenly out of the surging line of camera men and glaring\ncamera lights, Jack Fuby sprang forward and fired one round from a pistol\ninto the stomach of Lee Harvey Osvali before I could grab his pistol and\ndirarm him.\nOswald was immediately placed in an O'Noal ambulance and rushed to\nParkland Hospital, where he underwent surgery within 10 minutes after bis\n40"
