Talked with Jake Jacobsen over coffee in the West Hall. 9:43 Talked with Dorothy Goldberg on the phone. 11:05 To the Recording Section (West Wing) with Liz to re-do some of the tapes on the Boyhood Home. 11:26 Returned to the Second Floor. Worked with Ashton. 1:00 Lunch: hamburger in room. 1:45 Jean-Louis in to give shampoo & set. 3:45 Jean-Louis left. To the Library for a party for Ferdinand -- he had just become a us citizen this morning. We presented him with an American flag that had flown over the White House and a photo album. 4:04 Returned to the Second Floor. 4:10 To the Blue Room to greet Felix de Weldon who presented the original cast for the Inaugural Medals (he was the sculptor) -- also present: M/M Dale Miller, M/M John Cross, M/M John Walker.
