This is a postcard that Lyndon B. Johnson apparently forwarded to Lady Bird Taylor that he received from Gene Boehringer. Gene writes about the "Zephyr" train she is riding to Dallas, on its inaugural run, and wishes Johnson could be in Dallas with Taylor and all their friends.

On May 26, 1934, the ZEPHYR broke all Burlington long-distance, non-stop World's Records for railroad trains when it ran 1015 miles Route from Denver, Colo. to Chicago in 785 minutes to signalize the reopening of Century of Progress Exposition. The ZEPHYR left Denver 5:04 AM Mountain Time and 93 reached Halsted Street, Chicago 7:09 PM Central Time 13 hr. 5 min.
