Marilyn Berger called at 9:50 to ask you a question. She
said she didn't have to talk to you and that I could pass on the
answer if you wished. She said Ron Ziegler at his briefing gave
a breakdown of what was considered combat and combat support
troops and that the President had a plan to get combat and combat
support troops out of Vietnam. She said another White House
source said out by 1970 and this source mentioned artillery and
helicopter forces. Miss Berger's question is whether the
mention of artillery and helicopter forces is correct since she
thought we were going to keep those in Vietnam to help the
Vietnamese forces.
