V: I am fine. And you?
K: I am in good shape. The last time you talked to me had made the
decision to go into Cambodia.
V: That Sunday. I was in Washington.
K: I didn't tell you what we had decided.
V: I know. It was quite a decision. I spoke to Heldring who saw you.
K: Not for long. I was very busy.
V: He was very grateful. You are going to California I hear.
K: I am going on Thursday.
V: For a long time?
K: Just for a week

V: Does that mean a little less pressure?
K: It's harder for the bureaucracy to get to me.
V: I won't see you this time. I am staying in New York. I have a board
meeting. How is Nancy?
K: Fine. She is home with her family.
V: Oh, she is not in New York. I wanted to have dinner with her but that
is of no avail.
K: Of no avail.
V: The world is a mess but that is not your fault.
K: What do you think of everything that went on here?
