Y: Mr. Haig I am sorry on the delay of my call.
K: Dr. Jones is with his friend at the moment. He should be back shortly.
Can I have him call you? Are you in your office?
H:
Y: That's right. As soon as he gets back could I have a word? / I will have
him call you when he gets back
Y: In the meantime is there anything you can tell me about our problem?
K: I had better let Dr. Jones talk to you about it. He has just finished meeting
with the experts. I was not in the meeting. I think he should talk to you.
Y: I was meaning to get to him before he gets to his friend.
H: He will call you shortly. As soon as he gets back and he can bring you abreast
of where things stand here.
Y: I know he is extremely busy but my friend is giving top priority to this
issue. Please have him call me as soon as he gets back.
K: It should be within 15 minutes.
Y: Please see to that. My friend is also waiting. Please.
H: I will do that.
