K: He said in response to Soviet build-up we sent the
task force into the Indian Ocean.
S: Christ!
K: We cannot have this. The Soviets are quivering as it is.
I had a two hour screaming match with Dobrynin today.
S: God! Oh boy !
K: I thought you and I had agreed
S: Henry, we had and I gave instructions to low-key this thing.
K: and to say it was routine and planned for a long time.
S: We will get a retraction.
K: Can we get him to take it back? Can you do it tonight ?
S:
Yes sir. Stupid! Incidentally the Minister of War is alleged
to have resigned in Egypt. Don't know what that implies.
K: Can you do it tonight. Can I tell Dobrynin that?
S: Yes sire. Oh boy.
