K:
Look, you've never let me down. Your group has never let me down.
F:
I've had to be pretty
But that one of the reasons
you know I have
some control over these fellows. If they don't think they can get an
appointment any time they want to. I have to exercise some degree of
discipline with them. Now, what we'll do tomorrow. I'11 go over that
with them beforehand and then about a few minutes before you come in
the meeting you call me and I'll give you the low-down on the whole thing.
K:
Good. wonderful.
F:
I think you can be very frank with them. You're going to have to see
what problems you face and that and then I think you'll probably want to
relate how that relates to the whole Russian situation.
K:
That's what I thought I would do,
F:
I think this is important. Now as long as Sanley Lowell is going to be
there. He is coming in that group. You see I've been trying to break
down this business. These people in the Soviet group are very, very
radical and that's the reason I've just kind of have never wanted them
in except that its just their leader. Knowing the politics of things. But
now that this fellow is here I'll have a visit with him beforehand and then
what we'll do is if you'll just call me in a few minutes before the meeting
I'll give you the low-down on the whole thing.
K:
Good, and you will guarantee their usual discretion.
F:
So far over the years have I ever let you down.
K:
You've never let me down.
F:
We can't afford to let you down.
K:
Well, you're a great friend.
F:
Tell, me, how are things going. Pretty rough.
K:
It's a difficult period but I think we can manage.
F:
Good. Well fine, I know that you have and I've been trying to do my best
to keep things in control. By the way, when Jack was here we had a good
visit.
K:
He told me.
F:
Let me say this to you Henry. I XXXXX have my contacts in the overseas
where I'm able to talk to anyone of the party members directly. You
know I have that ddvantage because of my relationship over there.
