TELECON Elliot Richardson/Secretary Kissinger April 25, 1974 11:45 AM R: Henry. K: How nice to hear from you. R: Nice to hear your voice. What an exciting life you've been having lately. K: Oh, that part of it. My personal life, yes. R: Well, the whole thing. I follow it like housewives follow a soap opera. K: Aren't you nice. R: I was prompted to call you now, rather than any of the other times I might have done it, by the fact that I happened to get a call from Brad Moore who says that Barbara Jackson is in NY and very anxious for a few minutes with you. K: Well, I'm going to the Middle East on Sunday. If it can wait till after I get back, certainly. R: When will you be back? K: By the 10th of May. R: And you obviously can't do it before that. K: Not really. R: OK, well, what it's about its is the very critical problem of smaller countries that are being caught in a horrible price squeeze on raw material. K: No, I'm very interested in that. R: Well, you know her better than I do. I think she's an impressive woman. K: Yes. R: Whatever ideas she had would be worth a little while. Maybe just somebody she could see in the meanwhile there. Anyway, that's what it was about. K: Yes. Let me think, because Sisco would be the other one, but he's going with me.
