APPENDIX "A"
MEETING WITH THE POLICE ATHLETIC LEAGUE
OF PHILDELPHIA (PAL) REPRESENTATIVES
THE WHITE HOUSE
FRIDAY, APRIL 18, 1969
THE PRESIDENT:
At 12:00 Noon you will be escorted from the East Room at
the conclusion of your press conference back to the Portico outside
your office.
Senators Hugh Scott, Richard Schweiker, Mr. Paul Kleiman,
Chairman of PAL and Mr. John M. Elliott, Chairman of the Visit
Committee, will greet you at the steps leading into the Rose Garden.
You and your party will then descend into the Garden and you will
greet and shake hands with approximately 125 students and eight
policemen assembled there.
When you have met all the students, you and your party will
return to a point at the middle of the line of students.
Mr. Kleiman will first present you with a life membership
card to PAL and then two students will present you with scrolls
containing 300,000 signatures of Philadelphia students from over 500
public and parochial schools participating in the PAL respect for law
program.
