SIXTEENTH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL AZALEA FESTIVAL CON'T:
THE PRESIDENT:
At the conclusion of your remarks the music will start and you
will take your daughter's arm and promenade to the right. Miss Nixon's
escort remains behind. When you reach the end of the line of Princesses,
you will be met by Colonel Coffey who will escort you to the VIP section
where you will be seated with Mrs Nixon for the balance of
the
ceremony. Your daughter remains behind on the stage.
Those seated in the VIP section will include:
Governor and Mrs. Godwin
Mayor and Mrs. Martin
Admiral and Mrs. Holmes
Congressman and Mrs. Whitehurst
Admiral and Mrs. Dempsey
NOTE:
Governor and Mrs: Godwin extended you and
Mrs. Nixon an invitation to stop in and see
them in Richmond on your way to or from the
Festival. This invitation was regretted.
When the ceremony is over at approximately 3:25 p. m. you
and Mrs. Nixon will be escorted to a point behind the stage where you
will meet your daughter.
NOTE:
There will be photo coverage.
You and Mrs.-Nixon will then depart for the airport by
motorcade and board Air Force I for the return flight. You will touch
down at Andrews Air Force Base at approximately 4:15 p. m. Return
to the White House will be by helicapter and you and Mr-s. Nixon will
arrive about 4:35 p. m.
