Dear Mr. Conboy:
I talked with Charlie Me Wherter the other day
and he reminded me that you had had some correspondence
a long time ago with Dick Nixon regarding the possibility of your
doing some work for use in the campaign out here this summer.
Since the time is now approaching, 1 wanted
to get in touch with you to see what your current thinking is.
If you do feel you would be able to come. cret, I wanted to determine
on what basis with respect to remuneration and expenses.
I know that Dick Nixon would very much like
to have you with us in the planning stages for the fall campaign,
and if we are able to work this out, it will be a great pleasure
bee . Mr. Charles Me Whorter
to have you here.
I will look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
H. R. Haldeman
