DWIGHT L. CHAPIN
July 27, 1971
Dear Frank:
Attached you will find one set of floor plans for the proposed Villa which will be
built at the Key Biscayne Hotel. You will note that there are three basic changes
in each one of the units which we would like to make.
1.
We would like to put a wall with a door between the living-dining area
and the back den.
2.
We would like to closet-off a portion of the kitchen and put a door into the
closet area from the back den. This would be a room which we would use
for storage purposes -- dictaphone, stationery, etc. The other day I talked
to your brother, Bob, about the possibility of building a storage area onto
the back of the Villa. Providing these storage closets would preclude that
request
3.
You will note that we would like to have a common door between the two
Villa units on the kitchen end of the dividing wall.
I assume that these changes will cause no overwhelming problems - or at least
I hope not.
In terms of the decor, we would like to think in terms of having the Villa done
in yellows, browns, and oranges. Is this feasible?
With best regards.
Sincerely, J
DWIGHT L. CHAPIN

MEMORANDUM FOR:
MR. JEB MAGRUDER
FROM:
DWIGHT L. CHAPIN
Attached you will find an item from the news summary which came from Klein
saying that the Convention is going to be trimmed from four days to three days.
It would seem to me that all of the changes being made in the Convention -
procedures, number of days, etc. - would be held and perhaps announced at once
or announced in a way so as to make it look like the Party is for very practical
reasons restructuring the Convention process.
It would seem to me that we would not want to dribble this information out as we
are presently.
Maybe some of us should talk about this?

busie and [ had a print of the red and blue "Nixon's the ( ne"
poster from the 1968 campaign which got damaged. We wanted
to get this framed for a den.
Do you think there's any chance that I might be able to get hold
of another print of that poster? Knowing that you're the mastermind
behind the project or controller of surplus copies, this is an
appeal!
Fleave advise.

Attached is a sensational picture of The Spirit of '76 which I would very much
like to have autographed by you - is that possible?
With best regards.
