The Cabinet Room
The Executive Board of the National Governors' Conference will be
assembled in the Cabinet Room at 11:30 A.M. Tuesday morning.
The group will consist of the following:
Vice President Spiro T. Agnew
Governor Nils Boe
Governor Ellington, Tennessee, Chairman
Governor Dempsey, Connecticut
Governor Godwin, Virginia
Governor Hathaway, Wyoming
Governor Hearnes, Missouri
Governor LeVander, Minnesota
Governor Nunn, Kentucky
Governor Shafer, Pennsylvania
Governor Tiemann, Nebraska
Breverd Creighfield, Executive Director,
National Governors' Conference
Charles Byrley, Washington Director,
National Governors' Conference
The Executive Board of the National Governors' Conference met here
in Washington on Monday (July 21).
It is not anticipated that any specific issues will be raised by the group.
This meeting is intended to accomplish two purposes:
(1) Demonstrate the President's interest and concern for
the Governors and matters relating to the States.
(2) Strengthen the President's personal rapport with the
State Governors.
