You and Mrs. Nixon depart Key Biscayne via
helicopter en route Homestead Air Force Base.
(Flying Time: 15 minutes)
11:40 a.m.
Arrive Homestead AFB.
Ruffles and Flourishes, Announcement and
"Hail to the Chief" as you emerge from the
helicopter.
NOTE:
The Miami Killian Senior High School
Band will be providing the music for
the departure ceremony.
You and Mrs. Nixon proceed to the Speaker's
platform.
NOTE:
It is recommended that any greeting of
the crowd be done before the remarks on
the platform.
Standing on the steps of the Speaker's Platform
will be:
Ambassador and Mrs. Aguilar (Venezuela)
Minister and Mrs. Diniz (representing Amb.
and Mrs. Castro) (Brazil)
