Star thinks House "has risen to new heights of sophomoric
self-assertion in rejecting' added SVN aid. "Result could very well
place survival of SVN in imminent peril, 11 but "there isn't much

CBS AM's Benton said if RN does not name Simon to replace
Shultz this week, reporters will have to throw away their crystal
balls. Reportedly announcement, optimistically expected for Mon. or
Tues. , was delayed by tax report and Paris. As for Simon's replace-
ment there's little talk of anyone else except Sawhill, but, his appt.
may await a decision on how much of Simon's czardom he will inherit.
