"Kennedys Make Hit in Soviet Ga/ Peasants Love Them. 11 Monitor suggests "Kremlin's learned at least 1 lesson. It doesn't snub a prominent leader of opposition in US any more. 11 EMK's reception contrasted to that given RN in '67, and it'd seem EMK's "profiting from the RN record Whatever the motive it was another incident in US/USSR dialogue. Chrm also criticized Johnson "for his inaction to help vets himself. 11 He believes VA's record of "administrative ineptitude and sheer callousness toward vets accurately reflects Admin attitude. 11 Hartke says hearings on successor will probe policies and philosophies of both the nominee and Admin.
