On behalf of the Vice President, I would like to
acknowledge your-recent letter in which you request an

appointment on April 28 or 29.

Unfortunately, the Vice President's official
schedule is already completely committed for the period
of your visit. and I am afraid it will not be possible for
me to arrange for you to meet with him. Charlie McWherter,
Coloman,
his Legislative Assistant, has asked me to inquire if you
would be good enough to drop by the office to see him in
order that he may assist you if possible or convey your
Nixon
information to the Vice President.
Norman
Richarm
If this is agreeable to you, I suggest that you call
me at CApitol 4-3121, Extension 2121, when you are in town
and I will arrange for you and Mr. Me Whorter to get together.
the
I know the Vice President would want me to extend
JOHN
