Dear Mr. Disney:
It certainly was thoughtful of you to forward the
letter you received from Mr. M. Alevy in Venezuela. I am
writing him today to express my appreciation for his gener-
ous message.
I only hope that the end result of the incidents
which occurred on the trip will be an increased awareness in
both the United States and Latin America of the determination
and ruthlessness of those who instigated the riots, and a
strengthening of the economic, political and cultural ties be-
tween this country and our neighbors to the South.
Because of your interest, I thought you might like
to have a transcript of some remarks I made at the National
Press Club on May 21.
With every good wish,
Sincerely,
Richard Nixon
