UTILIZATION OF TELEPHONE FEATURES
The telephones installed by the General Services Administration allow you to
transfer calls, consult with a third party and also to have three-way
conversations. Individual instructions follow:
FEATURE:
1. Call transfer- to transfer a call:
a. Depress the switchook and release immediately.
b. Dial the party.
c. When the party answers, announce the call then hang up.
d. The call is transferred.
2. Threeway Conversation- to add third party to existing call
a. Depress the switchhook and release immediately.
b. Dial the third party.
c. Third party answers.
d. Again, depress the switchhook and release immediately.
e. Begin the conversation.
3. To Consult- to consult privately with a third party
a. To hold a call and consult with a third party, depress the
switchhook and release immediately.
b. Dial the third party.
c. Third party answers and you converse.
d. To return to the call on hold, wait for the third party
to hang up.
