I was able, however, to get unofficial approximate resdinge of the material we sent the Bureau of December 15th. These readings undoubtedly subject to errors in the lower grades 3.8 high 8.8 25% but are fairly sccurate in the higher gr ades, within 7% or 87. There approximates follow: B plus 41.7 D 28.2 E 23.2 F 17.4 G 12.2 H 8.3 I 7. J 5.3 x 4.0 L 3.4 Agong the various officers thit might be of assistance and with whom i had intervier of no inmedlate value are Commander Jewall, Naval Observatory, Washington, commander Bureau of Supplies and Accounts, Commander Furlong, Bureau of Ordnance, Fire Control Instrumente. Under Bureau of Supplies and Accounts aek for Mige Briin. The has matters of this sort under her immediate supervision. Commander A. K. Atkins, Room 2322, Commander Hunsaker, Bureau of Construction and Repair, Room 7241. 1 (Signed) Judgon M. Strong.
