February 25, 1925. Dr. Cecil K. Drinker, c/o Harvard University School of Public Health, 55 Van Dyke St., Boston, Mass. Dear Dr. Drinker: I have been out of town so that acknowledgment of your letter of February 17 has been delayed. Before reply- ing fully, I want to very carefully review the report which you sent. It is very difficult to reconcile my impression of Dr. Hoffman with the announcement that he proposes to deliver a talk in front of the A. 11. A. Convention on the subject of "Radium Necrosis." I have always thought that a presentation of any subject before an important medical convention and by a man of standing was based on extensive research or investigation or both. Such an investigation should at least cover the United States, and would hardly be complete without including Switzerland and parts of Germany and France. I appreciate very much your calling this matter to my attention, and hope to be able to write you again in a very few days. Yours truly, President. Alloeder-INI
