Dr. Cecil K. Drinker,
c/o Harvard University
School of Public Health,
55 Van Dyke St.,
Boston, Mass.
Dear Dr. Drinker:
I presume that you have been advised or
have read in the papers that Miss Carlough has brought suit
against us for damages. In vi.ew of the situation, I have taken
no action in regard to submitting your paper for publication,
having turned all of the material over to our attorneys.
At the first opportunity, I want to discuss
with you the matter of defense. Do your plans include a trip to
New York shortly ? You will doubtless be coming through here on
your way to Atlantic City and perhaps could arrange to provide a
little extra time for a conference then if you are not coming here
sconer.
I think you have the dental films of some of
the operators and the Life Extension Institute reports. Will you
be good enough to send them on here as I want to collect all the
data in one place ?
Naturally we are not issuing any reports now
except on advice of our counsel.
I am very glad to say that Dr. Hoffman has
arranged to visit the Plant to-morrow, Triday morning.
Hoping to see you soon, I am
Yours truly,
President.
