Mr. Josiah Stryker,
c/o Lindabury, Depue & Faulks,
Prudential Building,
763 Broad St.,
Newark,
N. J.
Dear Mr. Stryker:
In view of the present publicity, it
seems to me that we ought to work in rather close harmony with
City and State officials, porticularly in view of the situation
that has developed with Drinker. With this in mind, I am having
suggested to Mr. Roach, Dr. Martland, Dr. Reitter - our Plant
physicians Dr. Field, and Dr. Flinn, that we hold a round table and
see if some information of mutual benefit will not come to light.
I saw Field last night for a few minutes and expect to see Dr. Flinn
before the conference.
I noticed that some of the more spontaneous
of the newspapers are reporting that a suit is to be filed in behalf
of the daughter of one of our former operators, although the daughter
was never employed at our Plant. This girl or woman, whatever she
may be, has contracted a necrosis similar to one that is laid to the
door of Radium and it seems to me that it would be of first importance
to find out about it because it would indicate an infection rather
than an occupational disease. Perhaps Mr. McGlynn's folks would be
the proper ones to thoroughly look into this.
Yours truly,
President.
