Re: Carlough vs. U. S. Radium
Dear Sir:
Replying to your letter of January 12th we are
willing to make a contribution up to $2500.00 with the
understanding that this contribution ende our responsi-
bility and that we secure from the U. S. Radium Corpora-
tion a release under the policy and that U. S. Radium
Corporation secure proper releases and a diecontinuance
of all actiong pending or to be brought in connection
with the personal injuries and death of Margaret
Carlough.
We believe it should be made clear in addition
that we will not be liable for the cost or expense of
the services of experts employed by the U. S. Radium
Corporation to investigate mattere connected with this
claim. We will, of course, pay in addition to the
$2500.00 your fee and the fee of any doctor employed
by us or by you on our account. At the present time
we do not know of any doctor employed by you on our
account or any expert employed by you on our account.
