Stalliag Gentlemente Enclosed herewith you will find an article entitled "Radio Active Material an Industrial Hazard?", by Dr. Proderick B. Flinn, Ph. Des Assistant Professor of Physiology in Tygione, College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University, which treats of the so callad Pradium necrosis" or radiom poisoning cases. The investigation by Dr. ninn, which formed the basis of his article, has been by far the most thorough and far reaching work undertaken on this subject. This article will appear in one of the early issues of the Journal of the American Medical Association. While it sesma that the charge of "radium poisoning" caused the death of several girls (which charge was widely advertised through the press a fea months ago) is entirely unfounded, we naturally hesitate - without further investigation - to malce the broad statement that radium in luminous matorial is unharmful, although we believe this to be the case. Therefore in order to be on the safe side, we caution you, if you have not already done so, to order your operators not to point their application brushes between their lips. Whenever tre receive any further authentic information on the subject, we shall be glad to pess it along to you. Tours very truly, President. CBLEE-OB Enclosure (1) or 2mplecs gos or IMIEBIOK
