Dear Mr Lee;
I have just heard that a Miss Lena Walls who claims that she painted
dials for four years in Waterbury is now in the Waterbury Hospital with a diagnosis
of radium poisoning. I understand that all of her front teeth were extracted and
they claim to have found radium in the jaw.
I do not find hor name among the employees that I examined a year ago.
This and Miss Dunn's indicate very plainly to me the necessity
for the experimental work we have discussed. Even if the others do not come in
I am willing to go ahoad with the sum your company are willing to put up and trust
to squeezing some more out of my other fünds. I sun very anxious to get at it be-
cause of these developments.
Yours truly
G.B.Than
