New York City.
My dear Dr. Flinn:
I have your letter of June 17th regarding the suit against
the U. S. Radium Corporation. I do not see how I could possibly be of
any value in this suit. It seems to me that the facts contained in
your last paragraph, in which you found radio-active deposit in the
jaw bone of this girl, is all the evidence that is needed to show that
the radium was at least a factor.
I would not suspect such a small amount of radium to have
distant effect on the spinal column for example, but I am not in a
position to say it could not occur, therefore, it would be of no
value. A careful Xeray study of the spine, it would seem to me to
be of definite value in determining the nature of any spinal lesions
that may be present. This is only a suggestion with the thought of
being helpful.
Yours very sincerel
