Dear Mr Lee:
I am enclosing our findings on Mrs Hussman. You know that we have only
examined the employees of the Luminite Company onos. At that time it was thought
that any signs of ill effects from radium would be manifested either in the blood
or in monstrual disturbances. Later on we found that we could make an estimation
of the smount of radio-active material present in the body by means of the elec-
troscope and used it in all of our work.
I am very much interested in your remarks about Dr Humphrey's findings.
If they are due to radio-active material there certainly is no parallel case ever
reported in medical literature and should be a strong point in your favor. I cer-
tainly would like to talk with him about these observations. I think that Miss
Freyer went to him too but I gathered from her conversation that he did not find
anything that he could do for her.
,
Enclosed you will find some communications that I have in my files.
You might want to make a copy of them and then return them to me as I do not want
to lose them.
My address for the next ten days will be Gambrills Maryland. After
that I will be on an automobile trip.
Yours truly
Indian h ablin
