My dear Barker:
I hope that you reached home safely after
your long journey to Minneso ta and I hope moreover that you
succeeded in putting Dr. Lind in a favorable attitude towards
your problem. I shall be very much interested to hear a
little more about the ou tcome of your visit with Dr. Lind
Let me say that on the way home I met with
even more delay than on the trip to Chicago. After we were
out two hours from St. Louis we were informed that there was
a
wreck ahead--8 freight train had run off the track--so we
were obliged to return to St. Louis and to make a long story
short, I may say that we finally got home fully eight hours
behind schedule. This delay has added a few dollars to the
expense of the trip.
I am enclosing herewith a partially item-
ized statement of my exmenses and I am also enclesing some of
the receipts but I guess I did not keep all 1 of them. I ex-
pect to write you again with in a few days to make some comments
on the mesothorium sitaation and its probable development.
Sincerely yours,
Signed
H. schlunet
